ABOUT US

Our High School Youth Group is a place where students can grow in their faith, build strong friendships, and experience a Christ-centered community that supports them through every season of high school life. We are passionate about creating an environment where students feel welcomed, valued, and encouraged to ask questions, learn, and grow in their relationship with God.

BIBLICAL LESSONS

Our High School Youth Group is dedicated to helping students grow in their faith through engaging, relevant, and Bible-centered teaching. Each week, students participate in biblical lessons designed to help them understand God’s Word, apply it to real-life situations, and build a strong spiritual foundation.

All lessons are taught directly from the King James Version (KJV) of the Bible, ensuring students are learning from Scripture itself while developing confidence in reading, understanding, and applying God’s Word. Our goal is to equip students not only with knowledge of the Bible, but with the confidence to live out their faith in their schools, homes, and communities.

FUN ACTIVITIES

Each week we provide games, team challenges, and/or interactive activities that are intentionally designed to build friendships, encourage teamwork, and create a welcoming environment where every student feels comfortable being themselves. These activities help break down social barriers, strengthen peer connections, and create opportunities for students to support and encourage one another both inside and outside of youth group.

Our goal is to create a positive, Christ-centered community where students can have fun, build lasting friendships, and experience the joy of growing in faith alongside other high school students who are navigating many of the same life experiences.

TEAM BUILDING

Students have opportunities to help plan, organize, and participate in team-building events that take place both during and outside of regular youth group nights. These events are designed to strengthen relationships, encourage leadership, and help students learn how to work together while building trust and mutual support among their peers.

Through shared experiences such as outings, service opportunities, and group activities, students develop stronger connections with one another while growing in confidence, communication skills, and Christ-centered fellowship. Our goal is to help students build meaningful friendships and learn the value of community, accountability, and encouraging one another as they grow in their faith and everyday lives.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH

Students have opportunities to participate in meaningful and memorable community outreach events throughout the year that are designed to share God’s love in practical, visible ways. These outreach opportunities allow students to serve others while learning the importance of compassion, generosity, and being the hands and feet of Christ in their communities.

Through service projects, local outreach events, and acts of kindness, students experience the joy of giving back while developing a heart for serving others. Our goal is to help students understand that living out their faith extends beyond youth group walls and into their schools, neighborhoods, and everyday interactions, reflecting Christ’s love to those around them.

Brother Jose Colon

Brother Jose Colon

Jose has been a Christian since an early age thru Catholicism. Years later he started serving the Lord by teaching the youth at Memorial Baptist Church in Texas. After moving to Alabama, he continued his spiritual growth at Friendship Baptist Church in Huntsville, and took advantage of the constant work travels to reach out to those co-workers that had fallen away from God and/or the church. In 2022, Jose and his family moved to Montana and started attending Friendship Baptist Church in Montana City. He now currently helps teach the youth during Sunday School, and enjoys topical teachings based on biblical scripture. During his time away from church, he enjoys using Gods gifted skills to help others, and serve as an example to those who do not know God.
